About the Role
RAHMA Islamic Relief is seeking a dedicated MEAL Officer to oversee the project’s monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning system. This role includes managing baseline, midline, and endline surveys, as well as implementing a community complaint mechanism to ensure effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Operationalise the results framework and indicator tracking, including gender-disaggregated indicators.
- Manage household baseline, midline, and endline surveys, collaborating with the baseline survey consultant/firm on design and data quality.
- Maintain the project’s database/GIS data-management system and consolidate monthly field and monitoring data across all 9 sites.
- Run the Complaint and Feedback Response Mechanism (CFRM), providing communities a direct channel to report issues during implementation.
- Review the consolidated dataset with the Project Manager every two months to identify early trends against the indicators.
- Support community mobilization and Village Water Committee training with M&E inputs, contributing evidence to the policy brief and replication toolkit.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social sciences, statistics, development studies, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of MEAL experience on WASH, livelihoods, or rural development projects.
- Skilled in quantitative and qualitative data-collection tools (e.g., KoBo/ODK, Excel; GIS is an asset).
- Experience with gender-sensitive M&E and community feedback/complaint mechanisms.
