Our client, National Grid Company of Pakistan Limited (NGC), is seeking a Director General (Legal).

Job Purpose

The Director General (Legal) leads, manages and supervises the organization’s entire legal and litigation function. The incumbent is responsible for safeguarding the organization’s legal interests, providing authoritative legal advice to senior management, CLRO and the Board, managing all litigation before courts, tribunals and regulatory forums, and ensuring that the organization’s policies, contracts, and operations comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Job Specifications

• Qualification: LLB (minimum 2nd Division) from a recognized university is mandatory. LLM or higher law degree from a recognized (preferably foreign) university and enrolment as an Advocate of the High Court / Supreme Court will be preferred.
• Work Experience: Minimum 15 years of post-qualification experience in litigation, legal practice or legal affairs, including substantial experience in handling cases before superior courts with at least 3 years of experience in a senior legal management role within a organization, regulatory body, corporation or large law firm. Candidates must meet the Fit & Proper Criteria under Schedule-IV of the State-Owned Enterprises Act, 2023.
• Maximum Age: 45 years (on the date of closing of applications).
