Health Services Positions at Vital Pakistan Trust

Vital Pakistan Trust is actively seeking qualified candidates for multiple positions, including Data Collector and Vaccinator, in Karachi. These roles are essential in promoting health services within the community, focusing on maternal and child health.

Data Collector

The Data Collector will be responsible for conducting field visits to follow up on immunization, antenatal care (ANC), family planning, and other maternal and child health services. This role involves collecting and maintaining accurate health records, mobilizing and referring pregnant and lactating women (PLWs) and community-based individuals (CBs) for tetanus vaccination, and ensuring timely follow-up. The incumbent will engage with communities and local stakeholders to promote awareness of breastfeeding, vaccination, hygiene, post-natal care, nutrition, and other healthy behaviors.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field visits to follow up on immunization and maternal health services.
  • Collect and maintain accurate health records.
  • Mobilize and refer PLWs/CBs for tetanus vaccination.
  • Engage with communities to promote healthy behaviors.

Qualifications

  • Preferably a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience with a deep understanding of community dynamics, local customs, and cultural sensitivity.

Vaccinator

The Vaccinator will perform outreach activities in the assigned catchment area, administer vaccines safely, educate caregivers, monitor for adverse reactions, and maintain accurate immunization records. The incumbent will ensure the implementation of Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in coordination with Town and District teams. Additionally, the Vaccinator will track and report monthly coverage and categorization to the line manager and fellow vaccinators.

Responsibilities

  • Perform outreach activities and administer vaccines safely.
  • Educate caregivers about vaccination.
  • Monitor for adverse reactions and maintain immunization records.
  • Implement EPI SOPs in coordination with local teams.

Qualifications

  • Matriculation with a one-year vaccinator certificate.

Experience

  • At least 1 year of experience as a vaccinator.
