Finance Manager – AVP Position Overview
A leading insurance company in Pakistan is seeking a qualified Finance Manager – AVP to join their team in Karachi. This role is crucial for overseeing financial reporting and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee periodic financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure accurate and timely accounting records and financial reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations, provisions, accruals, and financial adjustments.
- Develop, implement, and monitor effective financial controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information.
- Review accounting entries, reconciliations, schedules, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare and review management reports, financial analysis, and other reports required by senior management.
- Assist in the preparation and review of statutory accounts, audit schedules, and other regulatory submissions.
- Ensure timely resolution of audit observations and follow up on implementation of agreed corrective actions.
Eligibility Requirements
- Qualification: CA Qualified – mandatory.
- Experience: 5-8 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Financial Reporting, Accounting, Financial Controls, Audit, or related finance functions.
- Experience in the insurance industry or another regulated financial services environment will be strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting standards, internal controls, and financial close processes.
- Experience in managing audits, statutory reporting, reconciliations, and financial control frameworks.
