Job Overview

The Financial Controller will report to the Head of Finance and Directors, overseeing the Finance & Accounts department at the Head Office in Karachi. The successful candidate will utilize systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 (ERP) and Advanced Excel to manage financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the complete month-end and year-end close calendar, ensuring timely closure of books.
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements with comparisons.
• Conduct outlet-wise P&L and contribution analysis.
• Review and approve all journal entries, ensuring proper documentation for audits.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS / IFRS for SMEs) and company policy.
• Train and supervise the accounts team and outlet staff on Dynamics entry and control procedures.
• Control inventory valuation and costing in Dynamics, ensuring accurate landed costs.
• Oversee physical counts at all outlets, reconciling counts to system quantities.
• Review daily cash reconciliation for outlet POS collections.
• Manage cash flow forecasts and advise Directors on funding requirements.
• Control the payables cycle with three-way matching before payments are released.
• Verify sales incentive and bonus calculations for outlet staff.
• Contribute to annual budgeting exercises and track approved budgets.
• Design and enforce internal controls over cash, inventory, procurement, payroll, and expenses.
• Manage external audits and maintain the fixed asset register.
• Lead and develop the accounts and finance team, ensuring accountability and deadlines.

Eligibility

• Qualification: CA / ACCA / ICMA (qualified or finalist) in Finance
• Experience: Minimum 5-8 years in a relevant role, with at least 2-3 years as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager
