Job Overview

We are hiring for the position of Head of Purchase in General Procurement based in Karachi. This role is crucial for overseeing the procurement function and ensuring efficient operations across various departments.

Location

The position is located in Karachi, Sindh.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the overall procurement function and activities.
• Manage procurement of raw materials, machinery, equipment, and other general items.
• Handle procurement requirements for Production, Marketing, IT, and other departments.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
• Identify and develop new vendors and potential markets for upcoming projects and requirements.
• Lead price negotiations and ensure competitive rates and favorable commercial terms.
• Analyze costs, purchase volumes, and exchange rates to achieve optimum cost effectiveness.
• Monitor and follow up on Purchase Orders, deliveries, and supplies to ensure timely availability.
• Ensure all procurement expenses remain within approved budgets and company policies.
• Coordinate with internal departments to understand requirements and manage Purchase Orders.
• Lead, guide, and monitor the Purchase team and address performance-related issues.
• Resolve internal and external procurement-related issues effectively.
• Ensure efficient procurement while maintaining quality, cost, and delivery standards.

Eligibility

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:

• Qualification: Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or a relevant field.
• Experience: 10+ years of relevant experience in Procurement.
